For 7 years, Laury Thilleman shared her life with chef Juan Arbelaez. But the couple preferred to end their relationship. The former Miss France announced their breakup on social networks. “After 7 years of intense happiness and a life together at a thousand miles an hour, Juan and I decide together to continue our roads separately (…) Juan has brightened my life with a thousand colors and will always have a place apart in my heart. Thank you for this journey. Thank you for the joy, the love, the laughter and every learning.” she writes. For his part, the chef writes: “Laurie will be for me an example of joy, strength and determination. I will keep only bright memories”.
The two had met in 2015 during a program broadcast on Eurosport 2. Sharing the same passions and ambitions, they quickly got closer. “When I met Laury, I didn’t know she had been Miss France, says Juan. I first fell in love with the surfer, the Brestoise and the journalist”, said Juan Arbelaez in an interview given to Paris Match. Before adding: “It’s rare that we ask ourselves, admits Juan. My restaurants are open 7 days a week, Laury leaves every fortnight on filming. We live at 250 an hour. The opportunities to see each other are rare and that we miss”.
