The former head coach of the Montreal Canadiens would have found a new job in the NHL.
According to a tweet from Jean-Charles Lajoie, Ducharme would become an assistant in a team of the Western Association.

Lajoie says the news should be announced in the next few hours.
Ducharme was dismissed by the CH on February 9, 2022. Last spring, he acted as an advisor for the Panthères de Saint-Jérôme of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League.

The 50-year-old Ducharme spent the equivalent of a season at the helm of the Canadiens during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.
In 2021, he took over after the dismissal of Claude Julien. He led the team to the Stanley Cup Finals, where the team lost 4-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In the regular season, the team had maintained a record of 15 wins, 16 losses and 7 overtime losses under his command.
Things were more complicated in 2021-2022, since the team had a record of 8 wins, 30 losses and 7 overtime losses before he was replaced by Martin St-Louis.
Before becoming the team’s head coach, Ducharme had spent two seasons as an assistant.
During his coaching career in the QMJHL, he coached the Halifax Mooseheads for five seasons, from 2011 to 2016, winning the Memorial Cup in 2013. He also spent two years at the helm of the Drummondville Voltigeurs from 2016 to 2018.
