Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Ali Gomaa, the former Mufti of Egypt, commented on the fact that the torment of the grave and the bald snake exist in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

And Jumaa said, during a program from Egypt broadcast on CBC, that the torment of the grave is nothing but a threat so that people fear, and not to persevere in their lusts, injustice, lies and false testimony.

He added, “The torment of the grave means that the soul is harassed, and this does not mean “hitting it with cribs,” adding: “The torment of the grave exists, but it is not as it is rumored in people’s imaginations.”

He pointed out what is rumored to be the brave or the bald snake in the grave, pointing out that it is a false belief.
