Former President Donald Trump once again found himself in troubled waters on Thursday following revelations that he leaked confidential information about the US Navy’s nuclear submarines to an Australian billionaire, including by touting the number of nuclear warheads they can carry.

According to ABC, Mr. Trump met with billionaire Anthony Pratt – chairman of the world’s largest packaging company, Pratt Industries – at his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, in April. 2021.

He would have leaned over to his counterpart and confided two highly confidential pieces of information, namely the number of nuclear warheads they can carry and how close they can approach Russian submarines without get detected.

The billionaire reportedly rushed to relay this information to at least 45 people, including six journalists, three former Australian prime ministers and at least 11 of his employees.

A former employee of Donald Trump who heard of the meeting between the two businessmen told investigators that Anthony Pratt was already repeating what the ex-president had told him even before leaving Mar- a-Lago.

The allegations relayed by ABC are not, for the moment, part of the accusations filed against Donald Trump for his management of confidential and state secret documents that he took to Mar-a-Lago after his departure from the White House .

A spokesperson for the former president told > that the allegations “lack context.”

“President Trump has done nothing wrong, he has always insisted on truth and transparency and acts appropriately, in accordance with the law,” he added.

Recall that Australia agreed with the United States in March to purchase at least three American Virginia-class submarines, with a view to possibly developing its own fleet of nuclear submarines.
