The International Automobile Federation revealed the program of the Formula 1 World Championship for next year, and the final race will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 7, 2025.
According to Al Rozmana, the opening race will be held in Australia for the first time in six years, while Bahrain will miss the opening round. The 24-race season will begin on March 16 in Melbourne, while the championship celebrates the 75th anniversary of its launch.
The Bahrain Grand Prix has been held in the opening round of the season since 2021, while the Saudi race has been in the second round of the championship since 2022.
Formula 1 missed the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne in 2020 and 2021, due to the “Covid-19” pandemic, but now it will host the opening round of the season instead of Muslim Bahrain due to the advent of the month of Ramadan in March next year.
The first European race will be held at the Italian Imola circuit immediately before the Monaco and Spanish races, and the three races will be held in three consecutive weeks.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, thanked all partners for their commitment and support in developing the championship program for next season, “which heralds another wonderful year in Formula 1.”
Domenicali added in a statement, “I would like to pay tribute to our Formula 1 teams and drivers, champions of our sport, and our fans around the world for continuing to follow Formula 1 with such tremendous enthusiasm.”
