Formula 1: Alfa-Sauber is already there with 41 points

The voices of Alfa-Sauber

Frederic Vasseur, Teamchef: “The conditions were treacherous. The goal is to get two cars home and we did that. We knew that following a difficult Saturday it would have taken a really good race to score points. We chose an aggressive strategy that allowed us to gain positions. The two points that Valtteri scored allow us to hold onto fifth place in the constructors’ standings and are a good reward for the weekend.”

Valtteri Bottas: “It was quite a long race, but we can be happy that we took our chances as a team. Making up positions in Monaco is never easy, so getting into the points from P12 on the grid means it wasn’t a bad day. We made the right strategic decisions. We took some calculated risks and they paid off.”

Zhou Guanyu: “It was a challenging Sunday. But I think we’ve reached the maximum. Part of the race was just regarding surviving and defending hard in the wet. It was a good experience to drive here in these conditions. The Monaco experience was tough overall, but I didn’t make any mistakes and was able to keep up with the pace of the cars in midfield, so I can be happy with that.”
