Formula 1 | Stroll won’t miss Vettel’s ‘long debriefings’

Lance Stroll has hailed his teammate, Sebastian Vettel, as the latter leaves Formula 1 at the end of the season. The Aston Martin driver summed up the German’s accomplishments and what he has discovered at home working alongside him since last year.

“He has achieved so much in this sport. He has been a great teammate” Stroll said. “I really enjoyed working alongside Seb for the last 18 months. We still have half a season to go, but it was great. I really enjoyed it.”

“And he’s achieved so much. It’s a chapter in his life that he’s closing, he has a family at home and other things to look forward to in life. So I wish him the best. best for the future. It’s an incredible career for him and we wish him the best.”

Asked what he will miss with Vettel, Stroll delivers a somewhat surprising humorous response: “Definitely not the long debriefs! I think he’s good at that, but, kidding aside, he really played for the team and he was someone who was really easy to work with.”

“He’s a great talent, extremely professional and I think his technical understanding of the car and all of that is excellent. He’s a great team member and someone I’ve really enjoyed working with. . It was really fun.”

Stroll wants to retain both the driver and the man Vettel: “His success on the track and the fact that he’s a great person off the track. He’s, you know, a real gentleman and he’s done a lot for the sport and his success on the track has been amazing over the years.”
