For these anti-oil protesters, an early red flag for Zhou and Albon’s crashes likely averted a more serious accident, with F1 eventually idling to their level on Wellington Straight.
If Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel supported these causes, they quickly criticized the method used, which was far too dangerous (see video below).
The 1997 world champion, Jacques Villeneuve, on the other hand, was more scathing towards these “idiots”.
