The young man killed by the police this Tuesday at the end of a fort Chabrol, rue Guilitte in Waret-L’Evêque, is Loïc, 27 years old. He lived with his sister and his parents in this house which they have occupied for many years. The family is well known in the village, particularly for its involvement in local festivities. In the neighborhood, it’s shock, astonishment, surprise… “We knew that the dad was not well and we thought that it was he who was concerned by the drama. But Loïc, we did not imagine, explain several neighbors. They are popular in the neighborhood. It’s a real tragedy…”
Loïc was in the process of launching his construction company and was busy building his house near Haillot (Ohey), in the province of Namur. In the meantime, he lived with his parents. “He was a good guy, a nice guy, who helped whenever he could, indicates a relative, but he was going through a rough patch, it’s true. He needed help and what happened to him is tragic. He didn’t deserve this.”
The policeman out of danger
