We warned last week that a first update for Forza Motorsport would be available soon, and here it is! After a launch that was quite criticized by the community, here are the patch notes in French of the available improvements.

Forza Motorsport update 1.494.4196.0 is here. This is just the first step for Turn10, which will continue to improve the game in the weeks and months to come. Here are the details of the improvements, fixes and optimizations. Good news, the menu bug which made the game look washed out has been corrected, so the game will be prettier for many people who were a little lost following graphical adjustments.

General stability improvements with fixes for various crash scenarios. Fixed a crash that could occur in Builders Cup Career mode after upgrading a car and entering Free Practice for the Fox Body Challenge race at Watkins Glen. Fixed a crash that could occur on the Grand Oak Club Circuit during a cutscene during free practice for the third race of the Builders Cup Intro Series. Fixed an issue that could occur when entering a Free Play race from the My Cars menu if there were too many cars with custom stickers. Fixed an issue that could occur when loading a race in Freemode.

Adjusted car part unlock levels to increase player upgrade options for lower level cars. Most car parts should now be unlocked during a single Builders Cup series. Improvements to ensure that Car Affinity manufacturer reward drops are unlocked as intended – once the player reaches level 50 in a car from the brand.

Fixed an issue that caused players to lose progress if they continued to play Forza Motorsport after a new game update was released.

Fixed an issue where entering and exiting the in-game video menu caused black levels to increase substantially, creating a “washed out” look.

Fixed an exploit in the Featured Multiplayer game where, in certain scenarios, a player could post impossible lap times in the qualifying leaderboard when entering qualifying directly from a practice session. an issue where incorrect safety and pilot skill ratings were sometimes used for matchmaking. Fixed an issue that prevented the player from regaining control of their car when leaving the pits in Multiplayer and starting a solo race in Free Mode. Fixed an issue that prevented players from downloading and saving another player’s livery when pre-racing in private multiplayer.

Fixed an issue on the #66 Ford Racing GT Le Mans 2016 when moving a decal on the vehicle’s “roof” or “hood” in the Livery Editor caused the decals to appear mirrored and offset on the other side of the car. Fixed an issue on the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS where the stripe decals were not aligning correctly between the hood, roof and fender. Fixed an issue in Apply Decals when importing a layer group from a previous Forza game and trying to apply a vinyl shape.

Updated trackside flag textures at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Fixed an issue on Le Mans circuits where a specific curb would stop LMP cars as if they were colliding with an invisible wall.

Improved wet tire wear rates in conditions where the track humidity level is moderate. Wet tires always wear quickly in dry or semi-dry conditions.

Fixed an issue that prevented players from downloading another player’s custom settings when viewing the leaderboard.

Fixed an issue that prevented custom keybindings from a controller or keyboard from being saved between gaming sessions.

Fixed an issue where the text-to-speech window did not appear when text-to-speech or text-to-speech was enabled. Fixed an issue where the text-to-speech or text-to-speech window remained on screen for an indefinite amount of time until the game was restarted.

Fixed an issue where the side skirts of the 2014 Volkswagen Golf R could not be seen after installing a body kit. Fixed an issue on the 1977 Holden Torana where the Street and Sport Roll Cages were visibly present on the car after installing a Racing Roll Cage. Removed graining visible on the racing roll cage texture of the 2021 Lexus LC 500. Fixed an issue with the 2004 Porsche 911 GT3, 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, 2018 Renault Mégane RS and the 2012 MINI John Cooper Works GP, where the higher level roll cages were visible on the lower level upgrades. Fixed an issue with the 2021 BMW M3 where the RPM displayed on the digital dashboard was out of sync with the RPM displayed on the Forza UI HUD. Fixed ambient occlusion errors on exterior and interior views of the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V and fixed another damage geometry clipping issue when viewing the car from a distance. Fixed an issue with the 2014 Lamborghini Huracan where no light is projected from the car’s gauge and dashboard, as well as the headlights, taillights, and brake lights. We have also fixed ambient occlusion errors on this vehicle. Updated the mirror texture of the 2018 SUBARU #1 Adrian Flux SUBARU Racing Levorg GT from a repeating pattern to its intended semi-gloss metallic silver texture. Fixed an issue with the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray where using the Remove Fender upgrade left the stock wing visible on the car. Fixed a strange behavior scenario that occurred for players owning Forza Motorsport Premium Edition or Premium Add-Ons Bundle on Xbox and Steam and using the same Gamertag on both versions where duplicate DLC cars would result in an error message prompting the player to repurchase the associated DLC. Fixed an exploit where duplicate DLC cars purchased in the Showroom could be used on another account or platform where the DLC was not purchased.
