Editing photos in light or <a data-mil=dark mode” style=”margin: auto;margin-bottom: 5px;max-width: 100%” />

If you like editing your photos and videos in the native app Photos (Photos)a new addition to iOS/iPadOS 18 will be very useful.

Now, you can choose whether you want to make these edits using the system’s light or dark background. By default, the “Edit” mode background corresponds to the light or dark appearance of the device, but you can easily change this, check it out! 📸

Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad and open a photo or video. Then, tap the edit button, represented by three stylized lines (on the iPhone, it is at the bottom of the screen).

At the top right, select the button represented by three dots and, in “Appearance”, choose between “System” (which will correspond to the mode you are currently using), “Dark” or “Light”.

This setting, it is worth noting, will be remembered whenever you edit future photos/videos.
