Four American hunters managed to capture one of the largest alligators ever caught in the state of Mississippi. The reptile measured 4.35 m and weighed 364 kg.
These four hunters from Mississippi State didn’t want to catch an ordinary alligator. Experienced, they had already caught several specimens over 3.5 meters. So when the four friends see the very large back of an alligator on the evening of Friday, August 25 on the Yazoo River, they say bingo.
“We caught him eight or nine times, but he kept coming off. (…) He was impossible to move, we couldn’t do anything with him. He dictated everything we did”says Donald Woods, one of the hunters quoted by The Parisian.

After four long hours of battling with the animal, the hunters managed to capture and kill it. Verdict: he was 4.35 m tall and weighed 364 kg according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
