Four-day week of the mobile vaccination route – vorarlberg.ORF.at

This week they want to “build on the success of the first four-day vaccination week”, according to state councilor Rüscher in a broadcast. Vaccination options with the mobile vaccination line are available on Tuesdays in Götzis, on Wednesdays and Fridays in Dornbirn and on Thursdays in Hard. According to Rüscher, waiting times can be avoided if you register for the vaccination in advance – at Vorarlberg vaccinated. Bring your personal e-card, an official photo ID and, if possible, the completed vaccination questionnaire.

In the mobile vaccination line, you can choose from the available vaccines: In addition to the two mRNA preparations from BioNTech/Pfizer and Moderna, the vaccine from Novavax is also available, which is comparable in structure to the common vaccines against flu, tetanus, TBE, etc is.

On Wednesday, July 13 (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and on Friday, July 15, 2022 (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), the mobile vaccination line will be in Dornbirn. Vaccination takes place in exhibition hall 11 (Untere Roß Mähder).

In the market town of Hard, the vaccination route will stop on Thursday, July 14, in the tenter frame (In der Wirke 2) between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Rüscher: Third vaccination also for those who have recovered

With a view to the increasing number of infections and the start of the holiday season, Health Minister Rüscher urgently recommends checking your personal vaccination status: “Only upright corona immune protection works against serious illnesses,” said Rüscher in the broadcast. Nobody knows in advance how severe and serious an infection with the corona virus will be.

Rüscher strongly advises everyone who has only received two vaccinations to date to take the third stitch: “Current studies clearly recommend that a third stitch is necessary for effective basic immunization – even if an infection has already been experienced”.

Changes to the Green Passport

The ordinance to relax the coronavirus protection measures, which has been in force since June 1, also brings changes to the Green Passport, as Rüscher emphasized. From August 23rd, the combination of vaccination and recovery is no longer sufficient for 3G proof.

For a basic immunization, three stitches are uniformly required – this has already been recommended by the National Vaccination Committee. Until now, recovery before the first vaccination was considered an “immunological event” in its own right. Recovery is still valid for another six months for the Green Passport, but it no longer replaces a vaccination.

Fourth vaccination recommended for risk groups

The Health Provincial Councilor recommends a further booster vaccination (4th stitch) to people over the age of 65 and people with an increased risk of becoming seriously ill if the basic immunization was more than six months ago. With the new booster, the protection can be extended by a further ten weeks, and the risk of hospitalization is significantly reduced. Despite the summer wave, the situation in the local hospitals is currently stable, as Rüscher informed.
