A child fell into the pool of a building complex in Macuto, La Guaira state, and died.
The four-year-old victim was in the residential area of Punta Piedra, in the Las Quince Letras sector, where he lived with his family, when the accident occurred.
The version published by La Verdad de Vargas is that the mother drank alcohol, accompanying another group of people. At one point, the boy slipped into the pool and cries for help were heard. But they couldn’t get there in time to rescue him.
Immediately, they had to transfer him to the Materno Infantil Ana Teresa Ponce de Jesús, and although the doctors on duty tried to apply resuscitation maneuvers, the little boy died.
The mother remained in the custody of the Investigation, Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc), because during the interrogation she tried to divert the investigation of the officials, indicating that her son drowned in a bucket.
