The American channel Fox News deplored on Tuesday the death of its cameraman, Pierre Zakrzewski, while he was covering the war in Ukraine.

β€œIt is with great sadness that we announce this morning the news of our cameraman, Pierre Zakrzewski. Pierre was killed in Gorenka, near the capital kyiv,” said Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.

“Pierre was accompanying his colleague, journalist Benjamin Hall, who was injured when their vehicle was fired on Monday in Gorenka,” she added.

Zakrzewski and his colleague Benjamin Hall, a Fox News correspondent at the State Department, were fired upon while in a car outside Kyiv.

The Fox News footage reporter resided in London and had covered numerous conflicts including Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, according to Scott.

Benjamin Hall was injured while gathering information outside kyiv. No additional information was available at this time regarding his condition.
