Vienna (OTS) – The Vienna FPÖ has repeatedly called for an S-Bahn ring around Vienna in the local council, most recently in 2017, which was rejected by the SPÖ and the Greens at the time. However, a possible start of construction in 2032 and possible commissioning from 2040 is a mean thing and cannot possibly be serious. This amounts to a mockery of the 2.9 million people in the eastern region, who until then will have to continue to cram through packed trains and subway and S-Bahn trains with what feels like a guarantee of disruption and delays.
