FPÖ – Berger on the Rammstein concert: Green double standards are unbearable

While Rammstein calls for the cancellation of the concert, Causa Teichtmeister is silent

Vienna (OTS) The culture spokesman for the Viennese FPÖ, Regional Deputy Stefan Berger, describes the demand by the Viennese Greens for a cancellation of the Rammstein concert in Vienna as an “intolerable double standard”. The authorities in the respective states are responsible for clarifying legal allegations and not the Greens. Authorities also decide on the approval of events and whether security precautions are sufficient – and not the Green Municipal Councilor Spielmann and the National Councilor Disoski. Rather, the Greens should appeal to the concert opponents not to carry out any acts of sabotage during the concert, as happened in Berlin. This would serve the safety of the concert-goers much more than anything else,” emphasizes Berger.

The hypocrisy of the Greens is evident in relation to the Teichtmeister cause. “Politicians of the Greens obviously have no problem with Mr. Teichmeister, as the confessed accused in criminal proceedings with around 50,000 child pornography files, enjoying the dolce vita in downtown Vienna, walking around freely and receiving film awards despite the allegations being known. If the Green Minister of Culture Kogler and his Minister of Justice Zadic remain silent and inactive, then that is significant,” criticizes Berger.
