（ＣＮＮ） French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that France was open to training Ukrainian fighter pilots. He answered questions from local media.
Macron met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to France on Thursday.
“We have opened the door for training fighter pilots, and training can begin immediately,” Macron said.
When asked if France would provide fighter jets, Mr Macron said he was talking regarding missiles and training, not aircraft.
Macron said he would not supply Ukraine with weapons that would allow it to reach Russian territory.
