France Sees Sharp Increase in Domestic Violence Cases According to Interior Ministry

Domestic violence recorded a sharp increase last year in France. According to the Interior Ministry, the number of victims reached 244,000 last year, an increase of 15% year-on-year.

In 2021, the security services recorded 208,000 victims of violence committed by their partner or ex-partner, an increase of 21% compared to 2020.
