During their first friendly meeting of the international break, Les Bleuets had filled up with confidence by winning against the European champions in title Germany thanks to an achievement by Amine Gouiri (0-1). The young Tricolores faced their Belgian counterparts tonight before returning to their respective clubs. Despite better intentions in the second period, Maxence Caqueret’s teammates had to concede a draw (2-2) thanks in particular to an equalizer in the last quarter of an hour of the game. Indeed, we witnessed, at the start of the match, a relatively long observation round between the two teams. After that, the Belgians slowly but surely took control of the game against a little apathetic Bleuets.
However, we had to wait half an hour to see the first big chance in favor of Belgian hopes. Sepe Elye Wahi took advantage of a ball stung by Rayan Cherki to overtake the Belgian goalkeeper and slip the ball into the cages (77th, 2-2). In a completely crazy end to the match, Nathan Ngoumou thought he would give his team the advantage, but his goal was finally disallowed due to an offside position by Wahi on the cross from the left of the French attack (84th ).
