Paris – In the affair of alleged election campaign millions from Libya, France’s financial prosecutor has filed charges once morest ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy and twelve of his confidants. Sarkozy (68) is accused of misappropriating public funds, corruption, a criminal organization and illegal election campaign financing, the public prosecutor’s office in Paris announced on Thursday. It is not yet clear if and when there will be a trial.
