For him, journalism was not a profession, but a true calling. For 50 years, Franz Xaver Eder was up close and personal with the population, researching exciting, sometimes tragic, and often happy stories. He preferred to feel directly with the people where the shoe pinched. The dedicated local journalist died on June 4th in his home town of St. Martin near Traun.
