The complaint denounces possible fraud, an infringement of the ban on managing a company, inaccurate presentation of accounts as well as abuse of weakness. It targets two structures: the influencer agency Shauna Events, Ms. Berdah’s flagship, as well as Sublim Talent. Shauna Events has been placed in receivership since November and is now officially managed by her husband, Stéphane Teboul.
According to The Obs, the two influencers denounce the signing of a contract with Shauna Events and Magali Berdah in 2019, shortly after the conviction of the latter for abuse of weakness towards an elderly person, which had been accompanied by a ban on practicing. Ms. Berdah, they say, continued to manage their cases even though she no longer had the legal right to do so.
The collaboration between Magali Berdah and the two influencers having quickly deteriorated after the signing of the contract, the Paris commercial court ended up condemning, in January 2023, Shauna Events and Sublim Talent to pay the latter more than 1.8 million euros for “unfair breach of contract” and “non-payment of invoices issued”, according to The Obs. It was the impossibility of enforcing this decision which, according to the weekly, led the two influencers to file a complaint in July.
