FC Emmen has immediately suspended head coach Fred Grim and assistant coach Erwin van Breugel. This decision stems from the evaluation of recent weeks. Grim and Van Breugel have been employed by the club since this season and still have a contract until 2025. Assistant coach Marc Hegeman will do the honors for the time being.
General manager Rinse Bleeker: “There was insufficient support and confidence within the club to achieve the objective, namely qualification for the play-offs. The coming competitions are extremely important to achieve that goal and we want to achieve that with this intervention. On Friday we want to go for the play-offs in an attractive stadium with full dedication. Together with technical manager Nico Haak, we will determine in the coming days whether there will be another option for the rest of the season.”
