Frédéric Tranchand won this Sunday morning on the Promenade des Anglais in this 20K, the fourth and final race of this second edition of the UTMB by Nice Côte d’Azur.
The runner from Saint-Chamond took 1h34’06” to reach Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in Nice, i.e. 22.4 km and 700 m of elevation gain with an ascent to the Saint-Michel plateau, a semi-urban trail.
The runner, a member of the French orienteering and trail running team, is ahead of Pierre Castets, the trail runner from Roquefort-les-Pins, by a little over 3 minutes.
The Italian Nadir Maguet completes the podium (+4’51”). A little over 1,000 runners started the race.
