ABU DHABI ∙ The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has denied social media rumors that GCC citizens will receive free Emirates ID cards. In a statement posted on the Twitter account, the authority informed that the news is false.
No changes have been made to get Emirates ID. All will get EAD only subject to terms and conditions as per previous decisions. The public is advised to disregard rumours, and consult official government sources for information on Emirates AAD.
