Free shingles vaccination for vulnerable people is now possible, the Department of Health and Human Services announced Thursday.
People aged 80 and over, as well as immunocompromised people aged 18 and over, can register for a free shingles vaccine starting Thursday.
The service will be offered in vaccination centers and pharmacies starting in May. Appointments can be made by going to Clic Santé or by calling 1 877 644-4545.
“It should be noted that the vaccine used includes two doses, and that its effectiveness is around 90%, in all age groups, with long-term protection of at least 10 years,” he said. it was clarified.
