Federal Transport Minister Dr. In Berlin, Volker Wissing presented the new pink badge for the 2023 light test together with ZDK President Arne Joswig and Prof. Kurt Bodewig, President of the German Road Safety Service (DVW). The nationwide traffic safety campaign will start in October under this year’s motto “See well and be visible!” All drivers are called upon to have their vehicle lighting checked free of charge. A total of nine lighting points are checked. If all headlights and lamps work properly, there is a pink light test sticker on the windshield.
According to the DVW and ZDK light test defect statistics, more than a quarter of the vehicles had lighting defects last year. Almost every tenth car driver dazzled other road users with incorrectly adjusted headlights.
The nationwide campaign has existed since 1956 and is organized jointly by ZDK and DVW. Patron is the Federal Minister of Transport. One of the partners this year is Dacia. (awm)
