A museum dedicated to the history of slavery on Mauritius
Expected for 12 years, the Intercontinental Slavery Museum opened its doors on Mauritius to pay tribute to the victims of the slave trade. This new place of memory is installed in the former military hospital of Port Louis. A symbolic choice, because it is one of the first large buildings in the former French colony built in 1740 by slaves.
