Athens/Rome/Lampedusa – A freighter rescued 68 migrants whose boat was in distress off the Greek Mediterranean island of Kalymos on Monday. The people had set sail from the Turkish coast to get to the European Union, the news channel Mega reported, citing the coast guard. They are all unharmed and have now been taken to the neighboring island of Leros. There is a registration camp for illegally entered migrants.
