French presidential: why the over 60s were the masters of the game

More numerous and less abstaining, the baby boomers weigh heavily.

When we look in detail at the profile of French voters in the context of the presidential elections, French people over the age of 60 weighed heavily in the final result, and more specifically baby boomers, i.e. people born between 1945 and 1965 (a period corresponding to a high birth rate in Europe after the Second World War).

“The 18-24 year olds represent 6.3% of the French population and many do not vote.
