A French supermarket employee has been fired from his job for pushing the bill too hard by placing items on the shelves, so much so that his colleagues complained about having to work with traffic jams.

“We in no way prevent you from expressing your joy or your good humor by singing, but you must understand that the sound volume of this exteriorization is to be minimized”, would have written the director of the establishment to the employee concerned towards the end of May, according to what La Voix du Nord reported on Monday.

Tuesday, in front of the Auchan store in Louvroil in the north of France, the union would have organized a choir to come and protest against the dismissal of the employee, whose good morning mood would have led to the dismissal.

“There is absolutely nothing nasty, would have hammered Éric Dronsart, union delegate, according to the French media. It has always existed, it is part of the working atmosphere.

According to the statements of the union, the employee had worked for the company for twenty years, and would not have received any warning before his dismissal. However, some colleagues would have filed complaints with management, indicating that they had to come to work with traffic jams, said La Voix du Nord.

Nevertheless, to denounce the process, the union would have invited employees and customers to come and sing in front of the establishment in support of the employee, who has since been on sick leave.

“It is not just a symbolic act, this event takes place in a social context which is becoming tense within the company, we are completely dehumanized. We cannot accept it, ”Eric Dronsart would have insisted.
