In the first match of the 7th round of Betclic 1 League, Polonia Warszawa faced Warta Poznań. The “Black Shirts” broke their bad streak and won their first victory of the season.

Polonia Warsaw – Warta Poznan 2:0 (2:0)
1:0 – Szymon Kobusinski 4′
2:0 – Ilkay Durmus 24′

It was a very important match for both teams. Both Polonia and Warta have had serious problems this season and badly needed points. Any potential victory would certainly improve the mood in the team. The hosts went on the offensive from the first whistle and in the 4th minute Szymon Kobusiński scored a goal for the team from the capital. The “Black Shirts” did not intend to stop there and were looking for another goal. In the 24th minute it was already 2:0 after a goal scored by Ilkay Durmus. Warta had one good opportunity in the first half. However, the crossbar saved Polonia from conceding a goal. After the break, the guests tried to attack and score a goal. However, the hosts did not let themselves be surprised. The result did not change until the end of the match, although both teams had their chances. Polonia Warsaw won three invaluable points for themselves and left the last place in the Betclic 1 League table.
