At the turn of the 2000s, Orlando Brown inherited one of the main roles Raven Phenomenon. Broadcast on Disney Channel and France 2, the series co-created by Susan Sherman and Michael Poryes (tandem behind the success ofHannah Montana) follows the story of the eponymous teenager (camped by Raven-Symoné), a young girl like no other, capable of seeing the future. She can count on the support of one of her best friends, Eddie (Orlando Brown), who, while waiting to become a rapper, plays basketball on the high school team. A huge popular success enjoyed by the cast of the series throughout the decade.

If Raven-Symoné pursued a fine career on television, as in the cinema and in the theater, Orlando Brown was more discreet. And for good reason, the ex-star of Disney has experienced a descent into hell of the most sordid. On December 22, 2022, the American magazine The Hollywood Reporter reported that he had been arrested by the police following domestic violence. The actor allegedly threatened his own brother by grabbing a knife and a hammer after the latter shouted at him. The security forces had intervened in time to disarm and intercept him. Homeless for some time, he had been staying with his brother for two weeks.

Orlando Brown has a long history with law enforcement. During a “simple” search in Texas in 2007, police found marijuana in the door of his vehicle and arrested him. Nine years later, the actor was incapacitated again in the parking lot of a police station after he punched his then-girlfriend. This time he was in possession of methamphetamine. An almost identical scenario took place a few months later in Los Angeles after going through prison. Placed then in rehab, Orlando Brown had only stayed a week as evidenced by photographs where we saw him walking barefoot in the street. Prisoner from December to February last, he regained his freedom against a bond of 25,000 dollars.
