From now on, crew members can go abroad and return to Hong Kong freely to maintain the “blue code” in disguise as “0+0”

The government has further relaxed entry requirements for aircrew stationed in Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific has sent an internal email to employees announcing that their overseas “closed-loop management” arrangement will be withdrawn with immediate effect, meaning that they will no longer be required to stay at designated hotels. After the crew returns to Hong Kong, they can move freely in the community after being tested at the airport. The “Vaccine Pass” remains exempt from the “yellow code” restriction, and a “0+0” arrangement is implemented in disguise.

Cathay Pacific reminds crew members that, in addition to eating and drinking overseas, they should avoid mask-removing activities in public places, visiting bars and other crowded places and attending large gatherings. From the same day, they no longer need to submit their activity records after returning to Hong Kong, but they need to do nucleic acid tests every day for the first 4 days after arriving in Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific responded to this newspaper’s enquiry, saying that it welcomes the government to make relevant adjustments and is more flexible when adding flights. Cathay Pacific will continue to resume more flights as soon as practicable.
