From the CMA they do not believe that the Call of Duty agreement between Microsoft and Nintendo will work on Switch

Remember that we have already spoken on the web about the good relationship between Microsoft y Nintendo. Now we are getting interesting news about the agreement signed by Call of Duty recently by these companies.

Specifically, we bring undoubtedly curious statements about the completion of this agreement. The truth is that the agreement has been being analyzed by many members of the industry and even institutions.

One of them is the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)from where they affirm that “They don’t think Nintendo’s deal with Microsoft will work with Nintendo Switch, as Nintendo Switch can’t replicate the visuals, frame rates, and online features that are a core part of Call of Duty.”

The words of this authority have not gone unnoticed and some media believe that they are somewhat right, especially considering that Microsoft has promised to offer the best version on Nintendo consoles. For this reason, they believe that the Call of Duty games would reach another future Nintendo console and not Switch, as other rumors suggest.

Remember that this agreement corresponded with the confirmation by Microsoft to “bring Call of Duty to Nintendo players in case its acquisition of Activision Blizzard went ahead.” Is a 10-year legal agreement that it will “bring CoD titles to Nintendo platforms, including specifications stating that Nintendo versions of these Call of Duty titles will release on the same day/date as Xbox releases, and will see parity with all the functions/content in other versions”.
