Rockstar has changed the settings for the appearance of passers-by dressed in drag style in the version of GTA V for the next generation of consoles. This was noticed by Twitter users.
Drag queens are predominantly male artists who use women’s clothing to create a stage image, but are not necessarily transgender. In addition, this term denotes the corresponding style. NPCs dressed in this manner could be found at the Cockatoos bar in the northern part of the city, but in the next-gen version, the authors of GTA V removed the drag queen. Models of passers-by are still available in the in-game editor, but the developers cut out the dialogues of these NPCs from the title.
In 2021, trance movement OutMakingGames criticized Rockstar for having drag queen models in GTA V. As noted by the representatives of the association, such NPCs were an offensive caricature of trans people that spread dangerous stereotypes.
Previously, reddit users noticed that Rockstar cut out from the version of GTA V for next generation consoles, a transgender figure with large genitals. She could be found in the arcade room.
