Watan: At a time when the Al-Aqsa Flood operation is occupying international news headlines, many foreign celebrities are using social networking sites to share their support and solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the Gaza Strip.

Despite the restrictions practiced by the administrations of these sites by reducing the number of access to posts, photos and videos, this did not prevent celebrities from expressing their opinions.

Swedish singer Zara Larsson also joined in supporting the Palestinian cause by criticizing the West’s double standards, saying: “Oh, why should we stand with Ukraine when Russia invades it but not with Palestine?”

He posted a picture of himself wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh, and wrote in Arabic, Turkish, and English one sentence: “If you cannot remove injustice, at least tell everyone about it.”

Frenchman Karim Benzema stands in solidarity with Palestine

Frenchman Karim Benzema, Turkish Mesut Ozil and British boxer Amir Khan joined the list of players in solidarity with the Palestinian cause, through a series of comments that included prayers and calls for the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Former Real Madrid and current Al Ahly Jeddah striker Karim Benzema posted a tweet on his official account on the “X” platform in which he expressed his solidarity with Gaza, which has been subjected to continuous bombing by the Israeli occupation for about 10 days.

Benzema wrote: “Our prayers go out to the residents of Gaza who are once again falling victim to this unjust bombing that does not spare women or children.”

For his part, former American basketball legend Ray Allen expressed his support for Palestine in his own way, when he re-published a video clip on the “Stories” feature on his official Instagram account explaining the American media’s lies about the reality of what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

Famous boxer Amir Khan criticizes international silence

As for the famous British boxing champion, Amir Khan, he wrote an emotional message on his official account on the “X” platform in which he criticized the international silence regarding what is happening in Palestine.

He said: “Throughout my career, my goal has been to become a hero and use my fame and influence to make a positive change in the world. I have never been afraid to express my opinion and stand up to criminals.”

He added: “When Ukraine was recently attacked by Russia, I personally traveled to Poland to support Ukrainian refugees displaced by the war. Many people have spoken about these atrocities, but while the world is watching what is happening in Palestine, I see many of my colleagues and friends silent. Why?” .

He continued: “It has become clear that people are afraid to show their support for Palestine. Palestinian lives are important. The world will remember those who spoke and those who did not, and God will remember those who remained silent while the blood of innocent Muslims was shed.”
