Beijing: Heavy snowfall and cold weather in northeast China. This time winter has arrived early in the region. Yesterday, 49 flights were canceled in the country’s northernmost province of Heilongjiang. Schools are closed. At the same time, operations at the airport in Heilongjiang’s capital Harbin continued as normal.
The Meteorological Center has warned that the region may witness a significant drop in temperature and heavy snowfall in the coming days. Heavy snowfall is expected in parts of Inner Mongolia province and Hebei, Jilin and Liaoning provinces. Schools were temporarily suspended in Liaoning and Jilin.
