PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) has prepared around IDR 45 trillion in cash to meet the public’s currency needs ahead of the Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri holiday.
“We are preparing for this, where the trend of demand for cash increases during the Ramadan and Idul Fitri periods. This year, the fulfillment of currency has increased by 20% year on year, especially for cash needs through teller and ATM withdrawals,” said Deputy Main Director of BSI Bob T. Ananta, Monday (1/4).
Optimizing service needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the Company has provided money exchange services fit for circulation through mobile cash vans and joint branch offices with Bank Indonesia according to the schedule at each local BI KPw.
Apart from that, BSI has also prepared weekend banking which is carried out regularly to make it easier for customers who want to make transactions at branches on weekends.
During the period 6 April – 15 April 2024, the company will also open limited services at 566 BSI outlets spread throughout Indonesia from Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi to Papua.
The operational hours are from 08.00-14.00 local time. Furthermore, limited operational services can be accessed at www.bankbsi.co.id.

Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the company will optimize BSI services both at branch offices and e-channels (ATM and BSI Mobile). Currently we are also ensuring the availability of cash funds.
“Especially for ATM machines so that they can provide excellent service 24 hours a day to meet customer needs, especially since this time is one of the periods that has higher transaction traffic than usual,” said Bob.
Currently BSI has more than 1,100 branch offices, 2,559 ATM machines connected to the ATM Bersama, ATM Prima, ATM Jalin, VISA and Mastercard networks as well as cash withdrawal transaction services in collaboration with Indomaret and Alfamart outlets throughout Indonesia.

Apart from that, Bob also appealed to customers to carry out financial and non-financial transactions via the BSI Mobile channel which is equipped with account mutation check features, BSI and other bank transfers, payments, purchases, ZISWAF, gold and multipurpose financing, e-wallet top up, e -commerce and other Islamic services.
Bob also appealed to the public to optimize cashless transactions, such as BSI Mobile, QRIS, BSI debit cards and Hasanah Cards in transactions.
To reach remote areas, BSI also has more than 90 thousand BSI agents spread across various regions. BSI Agent is a Laku Pandai agent which is an official BSI agent that provides cash withdrawals and deposits, transfers between BSI accounts and other banks, PLN, BPJS payments, as well as credit purchases and so on which are easily accessible to the public.
Bob added that the public should be careful of individuals who use the name of BSI to commit crimes such as fraud. (Z-8)
