The Korea Consumer Agency announced that this was confirmed as a result of testing the quality and safety of sports T-shirts from 12 brands with high consumer preference.
The tested products are Nike, New Balance, Descente, Le Coq Sportive, Reebok, Adidas, Asics, Under Armor, Kappa, Puma, Prospex, and Fila.
As a result of testing these products for color change in wet conditions, Le Coq Sportiv, Asics, Under Armor, Kappa, and Puma. Six products, including Prospex, did not meet the recommended criteria.
In the color change test due to sweat, the Prospex product did not meet the standards, and the Kappa product did not meet the standard in the test to see the degree of color fading through friction.
Two products were labeled as using recycled polyester: Adidas and Nike.
However, in the case of Nike, the Consumer Agency said that the phrase ‘Use 50% or more recycled polyester’ was a typo, and that the information was deleted online and that it plans to refund if the consumer requests it, the Korea Consumer Agency said.
