Vienna – The federal government is setting up a new fund to promote visits to memorial sites. From 2023/24 school classes in the eighth grade (4th grade AHS/middle school/special school) will be supported with up to 500 euros to visit the Mauthausen and Gusen concentration camp memorial sites and the former Ebensee and Melk satellite camps. The fund is endowed with a total of 1.5 million euros per year.
