Salzburg/Paderborn (ots) – HOLON and Valtech Mobility announce their strategic partnership today. The common goal of HOLON, a subsidiary of the BENTELER Group specializing in the development and industrialization of autonomous vehicles, and Valtech Mobility, a leading provider of digital solutions for the mobility industry, is to significantly advance the digital transformation of local public transport.
HOLON and Valtech Mobility agree on a long-term strategic partnership to jointly develop a cloud platform for the HOLON Mover. Collaborating for autonomous, comfortable, inclusive and sustainable public transport.
The focus of the partnership is on developing the cloud platform for the HOLON Mover, an autonomous vehicle for use in public transport. The jointly developed platform is intended to serve as a central hub for the operation of the vehicle. It facilitates communication between different interfaces such as infotainment systems, real-time tracking for operators and passenger interaction with the HOLON Mover.

Comfortable mobility for everyone
In addition to conventional scheduled services, the mover will be used as an on-demand means of transport in order to meet the mobility needs of users. This not only increases the user-friendliness of public transport, but also contributes to sustainability, as the all-electric mover enables emission-free journeys in communities.
Equipped with features such as an automatic ramp, security systems, Braille and audio-visual communication capabilities, the HOLON Mover is designed to provide inclusive access to mobility solutions for everyone. With a total capacity of up to 15 passengers, including seating for ten, the vehicle can meet a wide range of passenger needs, including those requiring wheelchair or stroller access.
Valtech Mobility’s cloud solution contributes significantly to the mobility experience
Valtech Mobility plays an important role as a software partner for cloud development, service creation and third-party integration support. The Munich-based company will be involved in all process phases – from conception to product delivery to ongoing software updates – to ensure a seamless, secure and future-proof result.
