The group of seven leading democratic industrial nations (G-7) wants to restrict the export of rough diamonds from Russia, which is worth billions. A corresponding declaration is to be decided at the current summit in Hiroshima, Japan, as several dpa diplomats said today. According to a media report, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could also travel to the G-7 summit meeting. A meeting with the heads of state and government of the seven democratic economic powers depends on the military situation, the Japanese news agency quoted Kyodo Ihor Zhovkwa, the vice chief responsible for foreign policy in the presidential office.
