Casio has unveiled the limited-edition G-Shock DW6900MO26-4 in collaboration with Bay Area rapper Larry June and his lifestyle brand, Midnight Organic.
Engineering the “Tropical Guts” Aesthetic for the Wrist
The DW6900MO26-4 borrows its color profile from Larry June’s custom 1987 Chevrolet C4 Corvette—a vehicle the artist purchased for $3,500 in 2018 after spotting it abandoned along a road in Pacifica, California. June affectionately calls the cabin’s striking shade “Tropical Guts.”
To capture that specific automotive restoration project, Casio molded the resin bezel and strap in a matching, highly saturated orange. This vivid backdrop clashes intentionally with metallic elements framing the digital dial, alongside a silver-colored metal strap keeper explicitly styled after the Corvette’s exterior chrome trim.
Midnight Organic branding sits proudly above the LCD window, while the number “1991” is stamped down the length of the strap.
Under-the-Hood Specs and the Hidden LED Surprise
Beneath the cosmetic modifications, the DW6900MO26-4 maintains the bulletproof internal architecture of the classic DW-6900 silhouette. It features Casio’s proprietary shock-resistant structure, 200-metre water resistance, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, multifunction alarms, and support for both 12- and 24-hour timekeeping formats.
Visibility in low-light environments is managed by a Super Illuminator LED backlight. However, triggering the oversized front-mounted light button initiates a custom hardware routine: it illuminates the display to reveal a hidden red “Good Job!” message.
Turn the hardware over, and the stainless-steel case back features custom laser engravings displaying Midnight Organic’s circular “1991 – You’re Doing Good” emblem. Even the custom packaging shares the same vibrant orange finish and graphic identity.
