Gabriela Michetti broke the silence and pointed against Rodríguez Larreta: “Things cannot be done that way”

After her departure from public service, the former Vice President of the Nation, gabriela michetti, broke the silence and took a hard shot at the Buenos Aires head of government, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, for his decision to apply concurrent elections with a single electronic ballot. “This is not how things can be done” critical.

“What happened this time seemed serious to me because deep down I feel like one of the founders of PRO. And there it does seem to me that we have to go out and defend the essence of our project, because it was and is very important ”, began Michetti in the I choose to believe program by Radio Continental.

“It seems to me that things cannot be done that way, this has already passed from light brown. It seems to me that we are in another tone. Do not consult anyone and make a change in an electoral rule during no less than an election year, everyone in politics knows that it is not done ”, Michetti sentenced in relation to Rodríguez Larreta’s recent announcement that generated an internal within Together for Change.

“It’s like going to play soccer and when you go out on the field they change the rules” exemplified by the former vice president. However, in relation to the single ticket, Michetti distinguished: “I don’t question the tool at all because I am one of the promoters and it seems good to me, but in this way it is not.”

In this sense, the former official took the same arguments that Rodríguez Larreta gave when he competed against Michetti in the internship and maintained that it cannot be applied due to lack of time.

“If that tool could not be applied [en aquella oportunidad] Due to lack of time now either and on top of that you are going to make it joint with the national one that is already not friendly for people. It’s a nuisance,” Michetti remarked.

“In this way, the only thing we are doing is wasting the tool, which is the worst thing we could do, because the single ballot is something friendly to the people. This should have been done in a different way and not as a little game that serves Rodríguez Larreta in his alliance with Martín Lousteau ”, shot Michetti, in dialogue with Radio Continental.

“Let’s give all the discussions and put everything on the table, but later when we leave, let’s make a joint decision,” concluded the former vice president who, despite her distance from public life, admitted that she talks daily with former president Mauricio Macri.

In another section of the interview, Michetti revealed that Macri’s decision not to run for the next election was “very correct” for him, although he admitted that it also “hurt a little.” And after that he stated: “I would have liked him to be a candidate again because it seems to me that he lacked the ability to demonstrate everything he wanted to do.”

Finally, Michetti distanced himself from any position or candidacy and stressed that although after his displacement he recovered “a lot of peace” and took “a weight off his shoulders”, he misses politics as an instrument of change.

“I miss having power as an instrument that serves to transform reality,” he concluded in this regard.
