Galaxus Mobile replaces Digitec Connect with two mobile subscriptions tailored to multiple needs. Basic, at 14 francs per month, allows access to 3 GB of data. For 19 francs, data is unlimited in Switzerland and 1 GB is available in the EU and the United States. Both offers include 5G at no extra charge, as well as unlimited calls and texts in Switzerland… with no activation costs!
Galaxus Mobile seems to remain competitive. “We wanted to get out of the usual race for promotions in this sector. With us, customers always benefit from a very good price and very good services, regardless of when the subscription was taken out,” explains Thomas Peter, head of mobile subscriptions at Digitec Galaxus.
One franc discount per person
The Family + Friends offer is maintained. It allows a group of up to five people to benefit from a reduction of one Swiss franc on each subscription. Thus, the Basic subscription is offered from 10 francs, and the unlimited subscription from 15 francs for such a group. For five people, we arrive at all unlimited for 75 francs, according to this scale.
Holders of a Switch edu-ID account can also take advantage of advantageous rates with the unlimited Galaxus Mobile CH subscription at 16 francs per month. As part of a Family + Friends account, the cost amounts to 12 francs per month and per subscription, even for members without a Switch edu-ID account.
And also for the pros!
“On May 1, Digitec Connect customers switched to Galaxus Mobile’s “unlimited CH” subscription. Thus, it immediately benefits from a more advantageous rate and better services”, according to this web page, which specifies that the network used is always that of Sunrise (UPC), which now seems to be losing ground.
Finally, Galaxus Mobile does not forget professionals, with special conditions for companies and associations. The latter can benefit from a corporate connection at a reduced price and offer advantageous rates to their employees and members for their private mobile connections, thanks to the benefits program in place.
My comment? After the promotions of Wingo, Yallo, etc., we see that the atmosphere, except at Swisscom, is not for rising prices. So let’s hope that there is some competition in this particular market of Swiss telecoms, the evolution of which only too often rhymes with mergers or acquisitions…
