Shortly after the entry into force of the Galaxy A55 rumors about its M variant started circulating online. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy M55 would be remarkably different from the Galaxy A55, notably with un SoC Snapdragon and a 50 megapixel selfie camera. Samsung Brazil has officially listed the Galaxy M55 on its website.

As rumor suggested, the Samsung Galaxy M55 is equipped with a Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 With 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. The latter can be expanded up to 1 TB via a microSD card. No other variants appear to be listed, but this generally varies from region to region. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The aforementioned selfie camera sits at the top of the display.

On the back, the Galaxy M55 has a 50 MP wide-angle lens (OIS, f/1.8), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), and a 2 MP macro lens. (f/2.4). Video recording is limited to 4K 30 FPS and 720p 240 FPS for slow motion. Contrary to Galaxy A55, the artificial intelligence functions are disabled, probably due to the lack of a powerful NPU. Finally, a fingerprint sensor located under the screen allows biometric authentication.

Other specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M55 include a 5,000mAh battery (45W fast charging supported), up to five years of security updates (four OS updates), Samsung Knox , a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging/data transfer, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and stereo speakers.
