Cologne – Gamescom 2022 is about to open. After two years of forced break for fans, due to the Corona pandemic, the largest video game fair in the world will finally open its doors to game-loving visitors next week. The show will traditionally open with the Opening Night Live (ONL), hosted by Geoff Keighley. But when exactly does the ONL begin? Gamescom 2022: Opening Night Live – When exactly does the opening event start?
Here is the ONL date and time: The Opening Night Live will take place next Tuesday, August 23rd. The start of the event is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. French time.
When will Gamescom 2022 take place? The fair itself will be held this year from August 24 to 28. Wednesday August 24 will be exclusively reserved for the press and professional visitors, while the doors of Gamescom 2022 will be open to private visitors from August 25.
What makes the Opening Night Live special: The ONL is in principle the opening event of Gamescom and already offers the first highlights of the gaming industry. In short: for two hours, fans and media are treated to a fireworks display of trailers and gameplay, sometimes including some world premieres.
