A MINI is offering an exclusive view of the Interaction Unit, your central control unit. This novelty comes close to the official launch of the brand’s new family in IAA Mobility 2023. It is a round OLED screen, which was developed in partnership with Samsung Display Corporation.
These elements were presented during the Gamescom and for that, the company opted for a high-tech laboratory as a reference scenario. Stefanie Wurst is Head of the company and spoke about the news:
MINI is a great choice for gamescom because it’s an experience brand. Last year, the MINI Concept Aceman was the focus of our presence. This year we want to focus on the technical highlight within our new MINI family, our round OLED screen, through a playful and digital experience. Science fiction as an ode to the future is the perfect setting for our innovations
The MINI interaction Unit, in turn, brings Samsung’s most advanced OLED technologies and has different modes of use and design styles. For example, there is Personal Mode, which allows you to choose the background image for the central screen with your cell phone. This is possible via the MINI app.
Thanks to this, the cockpit can have customizable elements and Gamescom visitors can check out not only this one, but also the other modes available with the brand’s round screen. She is even sponsoring the Cosplay Award that takes place during the games fair.
This company initiative will continue at IAA Mobility 2023, which takes place in Munich. In this case, the screens will be transferred to new models and implemented in the “final body” as in a science fiction production. Finally, also check out a car presented by the brand last year that had a look in honor of Pokémon.
Meanwhile, Gamescom continues to happen and has already had participation from companies like Qualcomm, which showed its new line of Snapdragon chips for portable consoles.
